KUALA LUMPUR, 14 August 2025 – Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) concluded the ASEAN Sustainable Urban Forum (ASUF) 2025 by strengthening its role as the Official Urban Mobility Provider, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility on the international stage.
Throughout the three-day ASUF 2025 event, Prasarana implemented a variety of initiatives that incorporated elements of education, social inclusivity, and knowledge sharing. Key highlights included the "Ronda-Ronda Kota Raya" program, which gave children the opportunity to experience riding the Rapid KL trains, a technical visit by ASEAN delegates to the Operations Control Centre and Kelana Jaya Line Depot, as well as active participation in the ASUF 2025 Urban Expo at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, which ran from 12 to 14 August.
The exhibition, which ended today, also showcased various eco-friendly innovations and urban mobility technologies, where Prasarana highlighted its latest initiatives in expanding public transport access, enhancing user experiences, and reducing carbon footprints.
The Acting President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Prasarana, Amir Hamdan, said, “This strategic collaboration is an important platform to showcase Prasarana’s capabilities, innovations, and commitment to developing a sustainable urban mobility system. This initiative aligns with the country’s aspiration to be a leader in sustainable mobility in the region.”
This role reflects the organisers’ confidence in Prasarana’s capacity as the nation’s main public transport provider. It is also in line with the government’s agenda to develop an integrated, user-friendly, and sustainable public transport system, in line with the goal of sustainable urban development.
With its continued involvement in prestigious international events like ASUF, Prasarana is confident that this effort will continue to bring direct benefits to the public through a more efficient, safe, and eco-friendly public transport system, further elevating Malaysia’s image as a global urban mobility hub.
