Reforming the stage bus industry continues to be a priority for the Government and with the latest injection of RM142.7 million under the Interim Stage Bus Support Fund (ISBSF) 2016, bus users commuting daily across small towns and villages will benefit from uninterrupted service. This critical allocation will be channelled to 65 stage bus operators who have applied for assistance this year.

In a statement Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD) said that they will not hesitate to take action against the express bus operator involved in the accident at KM265.8 of the North South Expressway near the Menora Tunnel at 2.45pm on 10 July 2016.
The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) has commenced a full accident investigation on this incident and SPAD continues to extend its assistance and cooperation. As part of this inquiry, all aspects are being investigated including road engineering as well as driver and vehicle safety management.
“Commuter safety remains SPAD’s top priority and the Commission will take stern action should public transport operators violate safety requirements,” said SPAD’s Chief Executive Officer Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah. “This action can include suspension and revocation of the operator’s license,” he added
Run under a new name to be more inclusive, the third instalment of Asian Trucker’s exhibition will again be the largest in South East Asia Organisers of next year’s Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo, Asian Trucker, have announced the dates for the third instalment of the event to be 18 – 20 May 2017. Having gathered feedback from the market, we have decided to rename the event to “Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo”, or in short “MCVE”. The new name is to reflect a more inclusive approach and orientation of the exhibition. The logo has been amended accordingly and now sports the Asian Trucker colours.”
This follows the usual rhythm of the exhibition to be a bi-annual event. The venue will be the same as the previous times, The Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre just outside Kuala Lumpur.
On May 12, 2015, ZF honored ten outstanding inventions by employees spanning a wide range of products, processes and mobility sectors with its internal ‘Graf-von-Soden Invention Award’. The jury faced a tougher selection process than usual due to the two new divisions (the ZF TRW and E-Mobility divisions) as well as the immense number of patents generated by inventive ZF employees in 2015. In total, 1,036 new patents were registered last year - an increase of 14% compared to the previous year. One of the greatest motivations for inventing a new technology or process was the desire to further enhance safety and security for people, functions or processes.
