Themed “Heartbeat of Mobility”, LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition (SITCE) 2020 will put its focus on human-oriented approach in ensuring the sustainability of urban mobility development, while at the same time, recognising the importance of technical aspects in public transport systems, such as infrastructure connectivity and speed.
Jointly organised by Land Transport Authority(LTA), International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and MSI Global Pte Ltd, SITCE 2020 will come to its fourth edition at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from 28 to 30 October this year. As its previous edition, SITCE 2020 serves its purpose of gathering global urban mobility stakeholders to come with the consensus for a better future of public transport industry. About 150 international exhibitors will be expected to showcase their up-to-date technology solutions regarding urban mobility development for 5 000 visitors within the 6500 sqm of exhibition spaces.
There will be 6 main streams presented during the congress including: 1) People-Oriented Public Transport; 2) Safeguarding Public Transport: Security & Safety; 3) Balancing Act of Fares, Funding and Financing; 4) Revolutionising the Public Bus Industry; 5) Enablers of Urban Rail: Assets, Infrastructure, Operations and Maintenance; 6) The New Age of Mobility: Active, Shared and Integrated. Under these streams, 130 speakers will conduct over 30 sessions in total during SITCE congress 2020. There will also be event highlights including networking activities and technical visits to exclusive sites, only accessible to those who register as delegates of SITCE 2020.
What differs SITCE 2020 from previous SITCE is a newly featured programme called “Innovation Pulse”. Given such unique platform, start-ups and researchers may pitch and showcase their innovative ideas through projects regarding urban mobility development. The programme will be dedicated with features including specific exhibition space, pitch session, poster session and networking activity. With these features, it will elicit interest from enough numbers of potential partners, clients and investors to support these emerging innovators to execute technology solutions, public policies and governance models as proposed.
